Saks Fifth Avenue is a luxury specialty store in Upper Midtown, Manhattan, New York City. It was originally founded as Saks & Company by Andrew Saks in 1902. The present entity is the result of a merger with Gimbel Brothers, Inc. in 1923.

The Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store is located 611 5th Avenue, one block from St Patrick's Cathedral. It competes with other upscale branded stores such as Bergdorf, Barneys and Bloomingdale's. The store is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Sundays from noon to 7:00 pm.
How to reach Saks Fifth Avenue
Take the E or V train to the 5th Avenue/53rd Street subway station. Walk south along Fifth Avenue until you reach Saks Fifth Avenue on your left.
