Air Itam Market Laksa is a famous laksa stall in Air Itam Village. It operates from the curb outside the Air Itam Market, near the junction between Jalan Pasar and Jalan Paya Terubong.

The laksa stall has been operating for decades and was one of my favourite laksa stalls. However, I have taken the laksa here for many years, until recently, when I went there with my wife. As usual, the place was crowded, and we had to share a table with someone else.

The laksa was quite spicy. I thought it was quite good, but my wife said it was below her standard. She said that the laksa was too spicy, too diluted and also lacking in ingredients. I suppose different people will have different opinion.

Getting there

The nearest bus stops are along Jalan Pasar and Jalan Air Itam. You can go there by bus. Any Rapid Penang bus with the number beginning with "2" can take you there.
