Lobamba is the traditional and legislative capital of Swaziland. It is just a small town with a population of less than 6,000 people (2012 estimate). The town is home to the Swaziland parliament, The Queen Mother also has her residence here.
Lobamba is 16 km from Mbabane, the de facto capital and commercial center of Swaziland. It is a quiet town except during festive periods, such as the ceremony to honor the Queen Mother, held in August and September, and the Incwala ceremony to honor the King, held in December and January.
