Masjid Jamek Batu Maung
Masjid Jamek Batu Maung is an old mosque in the Malay village of Batu Maung. According to the people I spoke to when I visited the mosque, the original building is over seventy years old. Unfortunately they were unaware of its history.
The Masjid Jamek Batu Maung has a more recent annex built about a decade ago. The old and new mosque buildings stand side by side. In front of the mosque is a Malay cemetery, which is part of the mosque compound.
Getting there
Masjid Jamek Batu Maung is on the main road of Batu Maung. Rapid Penang Bus Nos. 302, 305 and U307 pass by the mosque.
