Bukit Gedung, PenangBukit Gedung, Penang (3 April, 2017)

Bukit Gedung (GPS: 5.31563, 100.28393) is a lower-middle class residential neighbourhood in Bayan Baru, Penang. Also written Bukit Gedong, it is bounded by Jalan Tengah on the northern side, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah to the east, Jalan Tun Dr Awang to the west, and the namesake hill, Bukit Gedung, to the south. Due to natural features such as Sungai Keluang to the north and the Bukit Gedung hill to the south, the neighbourhood is isolated from the rest of Bayan Baru.

The neighbourhood of Bukit Gedung was developed in the early 1980's with the rapid expansion of Bayan Baru as a satellite town to George Town. The earlier phases included some low-cost apartments and link houses. Later projects included middle-cost apartment.
