Bagan Lalang (GPS: 5.43118, 100.39702) is a locality in Seberang Perai, Penang Mainland. Once a rural part of Butterworth, Bagan Lalang has experienced rapid development in the past decade, particularly in residential properties.
The main road through Bagan Lalang is of course Jalan Bagan Lalang, which runs north-south through the locality. Jalan Bagan Lalang connects with the Butterworth Outer Ring Road in the north, at Exit 1707 (Bagan Lalang Interchange), where the road continues north as Jalan Kampung Benggali; with Jalan Permatang Pauh to the south.

Bus Services at Bagan Lalang
Jalan Bagan Lalang, the main road, is served by Rapid Penang bus 604 and 605.
Most of the residential properties in Bagan Lalang are landed housing estates, including Taman Cengal, Taman Baiduri, Taman Teratai Indah, Taman Cengkeh Indah, Taman Dedap and of course, Taman Bagan Lalang. There isn't much in the form of high-rise residential properties. The few include Taman Mesra Indah and Taman Mesra Jaya. More high-rise properties can be expected in the future.
Villages in Bagan Lalang
Kampung Manggis and Kampung Tok Sani are two of the villages in the Bagan Lalang area. These are kampungs hemmed in by the paddy field to the north and the forests along Sungai Tok Sani.
Industrial Parks in Bagan Lalang
On the east side of Bagan Lalang, bordered by the Prai River, is the Sungai Lokan Industrial Estate, with mostly small-medium industries.
