2009 AsiaExplorers Durian Feast

The 2009 AsiaExplorers Durian Feast was held at the Bao Sheng Durian Farm at 11:30 am on 30 and 31 May 2009. Once again it was well participated by durian enthusiasts and connoisseurs from Penang and many other destinations in Malaysia and Singapore.

Participants were given a briefing to learn about how to identify the best durians according to the age. By looking at the shape of the durian one can also know where it is on a tree, as the side facing the sun is likely to grow bigger than the side hidden behind a branch. Even the aroma of the fruit is different between the top and the bottom. These are tips which help enthusiasts judge the quality of durians, and not merely gauging on them.
