Maungmagan Beach is a quiet beach resort in Myanmar. It is located in Taninthayi Division, on the west coast of the Isthmus of Kra. The town is about the same distance from Yangon and Bangkok, though it is connected only by flight from Yangon.
Maungmagan Beach used to be a popular resort among the people of Yangon. However, with the setting up of another beach resort in Chaungtha, Maungmagan Beach has lost much of its visitors. The Myanmar government is now promoting Maungmagan as the gateway to the Myeik Archipelago.
