Telaga Simpul is an ancient well in
Chukai, Terengganu. The present well has been renovated, so it looks quite modern, with a square front.
Telaga Simpul is said to have been mentioned in the journal of Abdullah Munshi, the scribe to Stamford Raffles in the early 19th century. It has been an important source of fresh water for generations of travelers through this part of Terengganu.
Going to Telaga Simpul
From Chukai, take the coastal road towards Kuala Terengganu. It is about 15 km outside of Chukai town, near Marina Beach, at Bukit Penjabad.
