Daerah Hulu Terengganu is one of the seven districts of Terengganu. Located in the hinterland, it is the biggest district of the state. Daerah Hulu Terengganu is bordered by Daerah Besut to the north, Daerah Setiu and Kuala Terengganu to the northeast, Daerah Marang to the east, Daerah Dungun to the south and Pahang to the west.

Daerah Hulu Terengganu forms the main water catchment area of the state of Terengganu. At the center of the district is Kenyir Lake, the biggest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. To the south is Taman Negara. Other sights within Daerah Hulu Terengganu include Kenyir Dam and Sekayu Waterfall.
