Go BackMataking is a small islet off the eastern coast of Sabah. It is to the east of the Tun Sakaran Marine Park, about 40 minutes by boat from Semporna.
The island has a luxurious resort called Reef Dive Resort (contact GTS Travel Services in Tawau, tel: 089 770022, www.mataking.com). The resort provides diving and wedding/honeymoon packages.
Getting there
Take the plane from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau, then the bus from Tawau to Semporna. Contact the resort operator for transfers from Semporna to Mataking by speedboat.Mataking Location Map
