Kimanis (GPS: 5.62833, 115.89941) is a town in the West Coast Division of
Sabah. It is about 45 km to the south of
Kota Kinabalu.
Kimanis was the base of the American company that leased Sabah - then known as North Borneo - from the Sultan of Brunei in the 19th century.
