About Terung

Terung (GPS: 4.70817, 100.71819), also spelled Terong, is a small town as well as county (or mukim) in the district of Larut, Matang & Selama in Perak. Within the mukim of Terung is Pulau Terung, an island created by the confluencing of Sungai Terong and Sungai Jaha. On Pulau Terung is the Pulau Terong Forest Reserve, comprising mostly wetlands and mangrove swamps accessible only by boat.
