Jalan Taming Sari, Taiping, Perak (17 February 2018)
Jalan Taming Sari is the longest road in Taiping. This is the main road that cuts through the town, and hence it was known simply as Main Road during the British colonial period.
Jalan Taming Sari connects Jalan Lumba Kuda, at the intersection with State Route A2/Jalan Pekeliling in the northeast, to Jalan Taiping-Kuala Sepetang, at the junction with Jalan Kota and Jalan Stesen, in the southwest. In between, Jalan Taming Sari forms junctions and intersections with Jalan Muzium, Jalan Kelab Baru, Jalan Kelab Lama, Jalan Alang Ahmad, Jalan Manecksha, Jalan Ong Saik, Jalan Lim Tee Hooi, Jalan Lim Teong Chye, Jalan Panglima Ah Chong, Halaman Pasar, Jalan Chung Thye Phin, Jalan Yusuf, Jalan Abdul Jalil, Jalan Idris and Jalan Masjid.
Jalan Taming Sari is said to have been named after the famous kris that was wielded by the legendary warrior Hang Tuah.
