Kinta is a district in central Perak. This is the most populous district of Perak. It is also where the state capital, Ipoh, is located. Several of Perak's biggest towns are also located in the Kinta district.
Kinta District is bordered by Kuala Kangsar district to the north, Kelantan to the northeast, Pahang to the southeast, Batang Padang district to the south, and Perak Tengah to the southwest.
