Hulu Perak is a district in the state of Perak Darul Ridzwan. It is the biggest district in Perak, and is located on the northern part of the state. Hulu Perak is bordered by Thailand to the north, Kelantan to the east, Kuala Kangsar District to the south, Larut, Matang & Selama District to the west.
While the main district capital of Hulu Perak is at Gerik, the district itself is administered under three district councils namely the Majlis Daerah for Gerik, Lenggong and Pengkalan Hulu.
