Masjid Sultan Abdullah, Pekan (30 December, 2006)
Masjid Sultan Abdullah is an important mosque in
Pekan, the royal town of Pahang. Built in 1932, it served as the main mosque for Pekan until 1976, when the bigger
Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah was built. Construction of the mosque began in 1930, and it was officiated by Tengku Abu Bakar in January 1932. The mosque was named in honour of his father, then then reigning sultan.
