Tun Hussein Onn Memorial, Kuala Lumpur

Tun Hussein Onn Memorial is a memorial to the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, the late Tun Hussein bin Dato' Onn. The memorial was officially opened by the fourth prime minister, Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, on 10 February, 2006.

The Tun Hussein Onn Memorial preserves the former Kompleks Perdana, the building that was the prime minister's office during the administration of Tun Abdul Razak (1970-76), Tun Hussein onn (1976-81) and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (1981-99), before the office relocated to Putrajaya.

The Tun Hussein Onn Memorial comprises three levels. On Level 2 of the complex is the family tree of Tun Hussein Onn, with details of his father Dato Onn bin Jaafar, who was one of the founders of UMNO (United Malay National Organisation), and his grandfather Dato' Jaafar Muhammad, who was the first Menteri Besar of Johor. Level 3 provides an introduction to the history of the Prime Minister's Department complex, its function and objective, and some information on the prime ministers who have worked there.
