Medan MARA, Kuala Lumpur (11 July, 2016)
Medan MARA (GPS: 3.15812, 101.69476) is a building in downtown Kuala Lumpur. Also called Bangunan MARA, it is located on Jalan Raja Laut, at the junction with Jalan Semarang, across the road from Pertama Complex. Medan MARA comprises a three-storey podium block with a 22-storey tower block over it, and a 3-level basement. The opening was officiated by then prime minister Dato' Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad on 12 April, 1987.
Medan MARA carries the motif inspired by the window design of Masjid Sultan Mehmet of Istanbul, Turkey as well as the wood carvings of Istana Bandar Tinggi in Negeri Sembilan.
