Loke Mansion (GPS: 3.15832, 101.69657) is a historic bungalow along Jalan Medan Tuanku in Kuala Lumpur. This was the home of the 19th century magnate Loke Yew, who at one time was the richest man in British Malaya.
Loke Mansion, in its original form, was built in 1892. The property which was originally 11 acres in size, was bought by Loke Yew from another Chinese tin miner, Cheow Ah Yoke.1 It contains Cheow's residence, built around 1860-1862. Loke Mansion, in its present incarnation, dates to 1904. It was renovated and partially restored when it was taken over by the lawyer firm of Cheang & Ariff. The bungalow is shielded from public view by a row of trees.
Other properties associated with Loke Yew include Loke Hall, also in Kuala Lumpur, and Loke Villa in Penang, which was built by Loke Yew's son Alan Loke Wan Wye.
