The building houses the head office and main branch of Bank Rakyat, as well as the campus for Universiti Tun Abdul Razak. Bank Rakyat is an Islamic cooperative bank that was founded on 28 September, 1954. Originally adhering to the conventional banking system, the bank switched to the Syariah system in 2002.
