Manek Urai is a village in Jajahan Kuala Krai in southern Kelantan. It is located near Kampung Sungai Peria, Kampung Tanjung Batu and Kampung Pangkal Senor. Slightly to the south is the new village of Kampung Manik Urai Baru.
In the by-election held there on 14 July, 2009, the PAS political party under candidate Mohd Fauzi Abdullah won over the Barisan Nasional by a slim majority of 65 votes.
Sungai Sam Forest Reserve
This forest reserve is located in southern Kelantan near the border with Pahang. To get there take Federal Route 8 and then continue on State Route D228 heading west. Ulu Temiang Forest Reserve
This forest reserve is located to the west of Manek Urai in the Kuala Krai area.
