Pulau Langkawi District encompasses the entire Langkawi archipelago. It is the only district of Kedah that is not on the mainland. The district has its administrative centre in "https://www.penang-traveltips.com/malaysia/kedah/langkawi/kuah.htm, the main town on Langkawi. All together, the archipelago has a total area of 467 sq km.
