Punggai (GPS: 1.43451, 104.27832) is a coastal village in Kota Tinggi District, on the southeast part of Johor. It is slightly south of Batu Layar Beach, although the naming of these two places often overlap. Punggai has a few small chalet-type resorts such as Punggai Bayu Beach Resort and Punggai Indah Resort (tel 019 785 2086). The place, to be honest, is not very happening.
