Tanjung Ketapang, Muar (11 September, 2016)
Tanjung Ketapang (GPS: 2.04637, 102.55041) is a seaside esplanade in Muar, Johor. It is one of the places in town where you can enjoy a sunset view. The place is within Tanjung Emas, near the mouth of Sungai Muar. To provide the locals with a green lung, the area has been spruced up into a public park called Taman Tanjung Ketapang.
The name ketapang refers to the tree Terminalia catappa, commonly known as beach almond, because it is often found by the seaside. It is noted for its big, red-colour leaves.
