Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru (10 September, 2016)
Hospital Sultanah Aminah (GPS: 1.45812, 103.74577) is the main hospital of Johor Bahru. It is located along Jalan Abu Bakar.
The ICU Department of the hospital was set up by Dato' Dr. Sachithanandan Thambinathan, a Malaysian doctor of Sri Lankan Tamil ancestry, in 1969. The ICU won the best project award from the National Jaycees Convention in that year.1
26 October, 2016: The Star reports a fire at the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital Sultanah Aminah which claimed five lives namely C. Neeramaladevi, 24, Yusof Hasan, 53, K. Logeswaran, 20, Choo Lin Fong, 37 and Toh Ah Wah, 60.
