Gunung Arong Recreational Forest (GPS: 2.51028, 103.74999) is a forest reserve in Mersing District, Johor. It is 17 km to the north of Mersing, and 22 km to the south of Endau.
Visitors to Gunung Arong Recreational Forest can enjoy the stream that runs through the forest. There are camping grounds for those who intend to camp there. A children's playground is also set up for the enjoyment of younger visitors. For trekkers, there are trails to the peak of Gunung Arong, from where one can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Air Papan and the South China Sea.
