Oundle is an old market town along the River Nenem in East Northsamptonshire, England. It has a population of around 6,000 people (2012 estimate).
The Oundle area has been inhabited since the Iron Age, and in the medieval period was a site of a farmers' market. The market is still being held today at Market Place every second Saturday of the month. The trades in the area made it prosperous. Oundle was one of the few towns which managed to avoide the Black Death in the 14th century.
Today Oundle is a charming town with many old, well-preserved buildings.
