Norrbotten County is the biggest and northernmost county of Sweden. It covers an area close to 100,000 square kilometers, but has a population of only 248,000 people (2012 estimate). The county comprises the provinces of Norrbotten and Swedish Lapland, which covers about two-thirds of the county. Luleå is the capital.
