Gotland County, comprising only the Municipality of Gotland, encompasses the island of Gotland. It is unique because unlike the other counties in Sweden, it doesn't have a county council, but is instead represented by the Gotland Municipality. Gotland County covers 3,184 square kilometers and has a population of 57,000 people (2012 estimate).
