The
City Gate of Gibraltar is the gate into the mediaval city. There used to be walls that ran around the entire inner city of Gibraltar. The walls were put up by the Moors, and successive battles and sieges meant the city changed hands, and the walls were further strengthened by the Spanish and later the British. Exploring the wall allows you an insight into the events that shaped Gibraltar.
