Rangpur is a city as well as administrative center for the Rajshahi Division in northwestern
Bangladesh. Located on the banks of the Ghagat River, the city is a trading hub within the Rangpur district and is also home to a public university, known as the University of Rangpur.
The district of Rangpur comprises three district municipalities. The city itself has a thriving tobacco-growing district. It is renowned in Bangladesh for producing cigarettes and cigars. Apart from that, it is also famous for the manufacture of cotton carpets.
The city of Rangpur has a number of beautiful mosques which you can visit. I am listing them on this page.
