The
Criminal Courts Building is a government building at 100 Centre Street, in Lower Manhattan, New York City. Built in the Moderne style in 1939, it has towers that make it look like a Babylonian temple.
The Criminal Courts Building has a three-storey-tall entrance. The building also houses the Night Court as well as the Manhattan Detention Center for Men, which was formerly located across the street in the building called The Tombs.
An aerial walkway, called the "Bridge of Sighs", links the courthouse with the prison across Centre Street.
How to reach the Criminal Courts Building
