Kalispell is the county seat of Flathead County in Montana. Located in northwestern Montana, it has a population of 20,000 people (2011 estimate). The city was founded by James J Hill of the Great Northern Railroad in 1891.

Today Kalispell is the largest city in northwestern Montana. It experiences a continental climate. Hottest month here is August, with average high temperature of 80.5°F (26.9°C). Coldest month is January, with average low temperature of 13.8°F (-10.1°C). Kalispell receives the most rain in June, at 2.3 in (51.8 mm).
Visiting Kalispell
Kalispell is linked via US Highway 2 to the rest of the country. You can fly in, arriving at Glacier Park International Airport, which receives flights from Missoula, Salt Lake City, Denver and Minneapolis-St Paul.
