Hope is a small city and country seat of Hampstead County in southwestern Arkansas. It covers 10.1 sq mi (26.1 sq km) and has a population of slightly over 10,000 (2011 estimate). It is in the Central Standard Time, which is six hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-6), and five hours behind during Daylight Saving Time in summer. The phone area code here is 870.

Hope is best known as the birthplace of Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States. It is also the hometown of former Governor Mike Huckabee.
Largely a rural town, Hope is famous for its watermelons, producing some of the biggest in the world. The record is presently held by a 268.8 pound watermelon grown by Lloyd Bright in 2005.
