Dickinson is a small city in Stark County, in southwestern North Dakota. It covers 9.5 sq mi (24.6 sq km) and has a population of 18,000 people (2011 estimate). The city is home to Baker Boy, manufacturer of bakery products, and TMI, which manufactures cabinets.

Originally called Pleasant Valley Siding, it was renamed a year after its founding in honor of Wells Stoughton Dickinson, a politician from New York who visited the site.
