Monterrey is an industrial city in northeastern Mexico. Located within the state of Nuevo León, Monterrey has a population of 1.1 million people, making it the 9th largest city in the country.

Monterrey is home to many Mexican companies as well as the Mexican head office of many multi-national companies. It is one of the richest cities in Mexico in terms of GDP and is also one of Mexico's most highly developed cities.
