Bata, Equatorial Guinea

Bata is the largest city and main seaport of Equatorial Guinea. It is located on the coast of mainland Africa, while the capital Malabo is on the island nof Bioko, a distance away.

Bata serves as the commercial hub for mainland Equatorial Guinea. Most of the cargo passing through here include timber and coffee. The discovery of oil in the recent decades has helped to boost the otherwise stagnant economy.
