Le Khaokob Cave, Trang Province, ThailandLe Khaokob Cave, Trang Province, Thailand (3 November, 2005)

Le Khaokob Cave ถ้ำเลเขากอบ (GPS: 7.79187, 99.57428), also known simply as Ley Cave, is a cave system located about 7 kilometers from Trang City. The cave has become one of the chief on-land attractions of Trang Province.

To visit Le Khaokob Cave, you have to enter it by boat. There are boat rides which you can take from a pier nearby. From there, the boat takes you on a short journey through a river which eventually emerges from the cave itself. One of the great excitements of visiting Le Khaokob Cave is this boat ride. Often the ceiling of the cave is so low that everybody in the boat has to lie flat in order to pass through. As you lie down in the boat looking up, the light from the guide's torch illuminates the stalactites hanging from the ceiling. Often the come very close to your face, that you are forced to move aside to avoid them.

The subterranean river takes you to a landing site where you disembark from your boat to explore the cave. The cave has been beautified with colored lights. There are numerous stalactites and stalagmites creating various formations within Le Khaokob Cave.

After exploring Le Khaokob Cave for about twenty minutes, you are informed to return to the boat for your return journey to the pier.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
