View of Ko Muk, with a tourist boat heading towards it (11 May, 2014)
Ko Muk เกาะมุก (GPS: 7.37251, 99.29546), also written as Koh Mook, is one of the main islands in the Trang archipelago, off the coast of Trang Province in Southern Thailand. The island is part of the Trang district (amphoe) of Kantang.
Ko Muk has a cape on its eastern coast that points towards the Thai mainland. This is the only location on the island that is inhabited. There is a small fishing village here along with a few resorts. Most visitors to Ko Muk head directly to its chief attraction, the Emerald Sea Cave, which is located on the uninhabited forested part of the island, on the west coast. Trips to the Emerald Sea Cave begins from the pier at Pak Meng Beach on the Trang mainland and takes about an hour, and includes stops at Ko Kradan and Ko Chueak.
