Tau Sah Pneah

Tau Sah Pneah, or green bean fluffy-crust pastry, is one of the delicacies that Penang is famous for. It is one of the souvenir foods that visitors from other states buy to bring home. It is also gift that Penang people will bring with them whenever they go to visit friends in other states.

The ingredients of Tau Sah Pneah include wheat flour, sugar, green bean paste, fried onions, lard and salt. The pastry come in two different sizes - the small ones measuring 3.5 cm in diameter and packed into boxes of 16 or 32 pieces per box; and the big ones measuring approximately 6 cm in diameter and packed in rolls with rice paper.
