Balik Pulau District Mosque

Masjid Daerah Balik Pulau, also called Masjid Genting Balik Pulau, is a big and modern mosque in Balik Pulau. It was completed in - if I am not mistaken - the middle of 2004. The mosque is located along the Balik Pulau main road, a short distance from another mosque, Masjid Kongsi, which is nearer to Balik Pulau Town.

Getting there

To reach Masjid Daerah Balik Pulau, take the Rapid Penang bus 401 from Weld Quay. It passes in front of the mosque.

What to see or do there

Masjid Daerah Balik Pulau is not geared for tourist visit. It is not open to non-Muslims. One can still appreciate it from outside. Not a destination on its own, but worth a brief stopover if passing through.
