Masjid Sultan Muhammad III, Pasir Mas (29 April, 2017)
Masjid Sultan Muhammad III (GPS: 6.04768, 102.14171) is the main mosque for the town of Pasir Mas, Kelantan. Named after Sultan Muhammad III ibni Sultan Ahmad, who reigned from 1890 to 1891, it is located along Jalan Meranti. The mosque has a main onion done surrounded by three stylized minarets. Masjid Sultan Muhammad III dates back to 1937, but has been renovated and expanded several times. The initial construction was interrupted by the Second World War, and the mosque was only completed in 1952, at the cost of RM31,000. A major facelift was carried out in 1984. Repairs were also carried out in 2005, with funding coming from the federal government to fix the leaks in the roof. This was completed in 2006.
