The Historic Blue Plaques of George Town
As you explore the streets of George Town, be on a look out for the Historic Blue Plaques placed by the Penang Tourism Action Council, with information provided by the Penang Heritage Trust. They give a brief explanation of the history of the streets of George Town. These blue plaques are a wonderful addition to the World Heritage Site, and it is a lot of fun looking for them as you explore the streets.

New Penang Road Signs
Just as the historic blue plaques were put up, the State Government also put up new Penang road signs. It caused a furore among the politicians. Read about the new road signs here.
