Boon Siew Villa, Northam Road

Boon Siew Villa, Northam Road, Penang (23 February, 2009)

Boon Siew Villa (GPS: 5.42372, 100.33152) is a mansion located at 36 Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah (Northam Road). It was built in 1930 and was the home of the late Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew.

The elaborate golf-leaf plated fence at Boon Siew Villa originally belonged to Soonstead, another mansion along Northam Road which was bought up by Tan Sri Loh. It was removed from Soonstead and reassembled here.

Boon Siew Villa is located beside the Transfer Road Canal, one of the waterways that was in use in the 19th century.
