Penang Hill Post Box (26 January 2012)


Penang Hill Post Box is one of the oldest post boxes in Penang. It dates not only from the British colonial period, but the VR insignia on it indicates that it was put up during the reign of Queen Victoria (r. 1837-1901). The VR stands for "Victoria Regina".

This post box is located along Jalan Tuanku Yahya Petra in Penang Hill. Not only is it in good order, it is still being used today.
