Charing Cross Road, London

Charing Cross Road is a road in Central London. It starts at the intersection with Oxford Road, across from Tottenham Court Road, and goes southwards to end at St Martin-in-the-Fields Church. The road was named after the Charing Cross railway station, which in turn was named after Charing Cross.

Charing Cross Road is a popular place to go for second hand books and antiquarian shops. Most of these shops are located on the ground floor of low-cost housing known as housing associations. There are also regular bookstores such as Foyles and Borders, which are located almost opposite each other.
