Belvedere Castle is a castle pavilion located in Central Park, New York City. It stands in the second highest natural elevation within the park.
Belvedere Castle was designed by Calvert Vaux and sculptor Jacob Wrey Mould, and was built in 1869. The castle added a folly to the woodlands area of The Rambles. At the time it was built, one can view from Belvedere Castle the rectangular reservoir which is now replaced by the Great Lawn.
