About True Jesus Church

True Jesus Church is a non-denominational church in Air Itam, Penang. It is located along Jalan Balik Pulau, the hill road that - if you are able to follow it right through - goes all the way to Balik Pulau through the hills.

The True Jesus Church was established in Beijing in 1917, and today counts approximately 2.5 million believers in forty-eight countries. The first True Jesus Church is the Sandakan True Jesus Church established in 1927, following the arrival of Titus Huang of the Fujian True Jesus Church in Singapore in 1925. The True Jesus Church in Penang traces its history to around 1928-29.
