Trees of the Esplanade, Penang

Within Padang Kota Lama at the Esplanade are trees that were planted to commemorate specific occasions. Most to these trees are the Bunga Tanjong (Mimusops elengi), the tree that is often identified by the tip of George Town, also called Tanjung.
